Why This Policy Exists
MotorRiderz exists to help Powerstroke owners make confident repair, maintenance, and purchasing decisions using accurate, technically verified information. We publish guides, comparisons, and reviews covering the 6.0, 6.4, 6.7, and 7.3 Powerstroke — written for readers who already know their way around an engine bay and want real answers, not marketing copy.
Our editorial goal is simple: explain what matters, who a product or procedure is actually right for, where it performs well, where it falls short, and when a different option is the smarter choice. We prioritize hands-on experience, verified specifications, and recurring patterns in real owner feedback over generic, recycled content.
This policy explains how we select topics, research and verify information, evaluate and score products, handle hands-on testing, update content over time, correct errors, and keep our affiliate and advertising relationships separate from editorial judgment.

How We Test & Score Products
When possible, products are evaluated hands-on in real Powerstroke applications. Where direct testing isn’t feasible for every listed item, we use verified specifications, manufacturer documentation, fitment data, and patterns across genuine owner feedback — never marketing claims alone. Every product in a “Best Of” or buying guide is scored using the same six weighted criteria below, applied identically regardless of affiliate commission.

Commission Separation — Our Core Commitment
Product scores are assigned using the fixed methodology above before any commission consideration. A higher-commission product does not receive a higher score, better placement, or more favorable language. A product with no affiliate relationship at all is still eligible for our “Best Of” lists if it earns its place on merit. The editorial team responsible for research, testing notes, and scoring operates independently from any commercial or partnership decisions.
Content Update Policy
High-Traffic Guides
Our most-read articles are reviewed at least every 3 months for new TSBs, discontinued parts, or better solutions.
Material Product Changes
When a reviewed product’s pricing, availability, or specifications change meaningfully, we update the relevant article within two weeks.
“Last Updated” Dates
Every guide and review displays when it was last verified, so you always know how current the information is.
Corrections Policy
We take accuracy seriously. If you find an error, here’s exactly what happens after you report it.
You Report It
Use our Contact form, select “Correction,” and include the article URL plus a source if you have one.
We Verify
A technical reviewer checks the claim against OEM documentation or another primary source — typically within 48 hours.
We Correct It
Confirmed errors are fixed directly in the article, and the “Last Updated” date is refreshed to reflect the change.
We Follow Up With You
If you provided contact info, we let you know the correction was made — and thank you, since reader corrections make every guide better.
